WordPress Consulting

I’m skilled in WordPress XHTML and CSS design, PHP functions, SEO, hack repairs and security, linux/LAMP shared and dedicated server/VPS performance. I also handle Blogger, TypePad, ExpressionEngine, Movable Type and TextPattern migrations to WordPress. I’ve completed over 100 different jobs in the last year alone for clients in Montana and around the world.

I work with the Genesis Framework by StudioPress for themes and design, and that means I can create websites in a solid framework that are mobile compatible and up to date in CSS3 and HTML5. Genesis also lets my customers have control of their websites and can modify some elements on their own.

My SEO (Search Engine Optimization) work involves using Google’s free tools – such as Webmaster’s Tools and Analytics to control Google’s indexing of a site – in terms of content and structured data – in conjunction with XML sitemaps, robot.txt files and correctly presented Schema and meta data. And, of course, don’t forget content itself: remember that quality content is overwhelmingly the key to good SEO and SERP (search engine results page) ranking.

I also write a series of articles called Words on WordPress, covering WordPress features, customizations and troubleshooting common issue. My two most recent are Basic Utility Plugins and Who is a Good Web Hosting Service for WordPress?
