Seems like the Verizon iPhone will arrive this year; more and more rumors and “hard” facts point to a CMDA iPhone from Verizon. Apple has ordered millions of needed chipsets. Manufacturers have been dropping hints. News sources have pointed out the demand for a Verizon phone and consumer’s general unhappiness with AT&T.
But wait and see? That’s a decision you’ll have to make.
It seems like a Verizon iPhone has a 99% chance of appearing, but it will probably not be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this month. Apple is rumored to be readying a big announcement for February. For something.
There’s no indication as to what kind of calling plans Verizon will offer in comparison to AT&T. And Apple has competition from Android phones now, which outsold the iPhone last fall.
So if you’re considering either one, try both out (if you know someone who has an iPhone, as they’re not officially available in Montana) and see which way you want to go. But if you already know you want an iPhone, give it a month and see what happens.
